: : can anyone tell me some causes that leads to desdemona's death
: : besides Othello's jealousy and the handkerchief??
: :a possible reason Othello was submitting to Iago's lies of Desdemona's deception was the racial differences between the two.
: : Othello was a military man, unsuited for domestic life. His way of settling problems was to commit violence, to destroy the source of his distress. And Desdemona was a young thing, raised to be delicate and supportive. She doesn't know how to confront his suions directly, firmly, "man to man." It's like the turkey and the pea: Peas fight until one is dead or runs away. Turkeys surrender by lying down, so a pea will peck a turkey to death. The Kenneth Branagh/Lawrence Fishburne film of Othello does a better than most of showing how badly unsuited Othello and Desdemona are to solving marital problems. This movie has the best women's scenes, the most touching and realistic of any version I've seen.
