--Iago says this to Othello as a warning yet in hopes that he will sucb to this jealousy. Othello shows that he has done just that when he says "Why did I marry?", "... be sure thou prove my love a /Be sure of it; give me the ocular proof;", and "...lewd minx!" Iago turns Othello toward jealousy with the handkerchief and Cio's attitude when he speaks of Bianca (although he thinks he speaks of Desdemona).
